Directly on the Ocean and just a half block off Duval
Street, the Atlantic Shores Resort is a Key West tradition. 71
rooms surrounded by manicured landscaping and the world famous pool
area built atop the crystalline waters of the Atlantic Ocean are just two
of the varied features this Art Deco resort
showcases.
A huge old Victorian-style mansion in the center of most
of Key West's Gay Guest houses located on Fleming Street. A large variety
of rooms, from sumptuous to tiny, a hearty breakfast, plenty of lounge
area by the pool.
Curry House is the oldest and probably the finest gay
guest house in Key West. An elegant old home with every amenity. An unusual
black tiled pool in the rear and complimentary wine and snacks at happy
hour. Costly but worth every penny!
This is a really large complex, the biggest gay guest house
in Key West, with the largest pool adjacent to the cafe. there's a hot tub,
communal showers reminiscent of the old bathhouses, a video lounge complete
with rolls of paper towels, condoms and ashtrays. (Don't want to burn the
carpeting that's all over the place.) and under the new management, the
rooms are all getting a needed make over. I've seen some of the new rooms
and they are very well done.
Island House is our headquarters for ShipWreck V, May 1998.
Right downtown, one block from Duval on Whitehead Street,
this is a popular hangout for the younger guys. Great cafe right next to
the clothing optional pool. A wonderful place for lunch! Food and views!
There's also a gym here. A great staff and excellent private grounds.
Just at the edge of Key West Seaport, this lush jungle
has a great pool area
to laze the day away in the nude. And the sexy attendants serve you at
cocktail hour at the gazebo
bar.
Just recently remodeled from a Conch mansion, this is
a very elegant small B&B for the discriminating gay man or couple.
There are only four units, so privacy is assured.
Though a few blocks further than most guest houses from
'Downtown', this 9 room bed and breakfast is popular with the nudist set
and leather men too. Very quaint, it was once the Station Master's house
before the Overseas Railroad was destroyed by a hurricane in 1935.
Heated pool, outdoor gym, video lounge.
A luxurious old gay guest house
on United Street, a half block off Duval and 2 blocks from the Atlantic
Shores.Great pool area,
clean airy rooms.And a great
hot tub!
Very secluded, in the heart of Key West, just 3 blocks
from all the action. Cocktails by the pool at tea time. This place is well
liked and has many repeat guests.
Click Map for a much larger one. Compare the number
on the map to the listing above to find the location of the Guest house.
Note that Duval is our Main Street in the Heart of Old Town. Truman Avenue
goes from Eisenhower to Whitehead and White Street is the border between
Old Town and New Town. Also, gays are fairly safe in Key West, but I wouldn't
venture past Whitehead going away from Duval after Sunset. I also never
venture past about the 1 Saloon heading toward Malory Square, except for
daytime shopping or sightseeing or the Sunset Celebration. The reason being:
it's Redneck City down there. I hope this helps you.
